| | Technical Sergeant Ryan E. Miles | |
Technical Sergeant Ryan Miles is the horn section leader for the Band of the
U.S. Air Force Reserve Concert Band. He is the drum major for the Ceremonial
Band and the Bagpipe Band. Sergeant Miles also serves as the
Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge of the Ceremonial Band and the Supply shop.
In January 1994, Sergeant Miles began his military career with the United
States Marine Corps stationed in Albany, Georgia and Parris Island, SC.
After a brief separation from the Marine Corps, Sergeant Miles joined the
Air Force and was assigned to the Band of the U.S. Air Force Reserve, Robins
Air Force Base, Georgia. Since his arrival in December 2001 he has performed
for the 2002 Salute to the Armed Forces with Celine Dion and has been a
featured soloist on tour through Florida. Sergeant Miles has also performed
for Presidents of the United States and other heads of state with the
Ceremonial Band. He has served as an operations representative for both
Operation Season's Greetings and Operation Pacific Greetings, which are
USO-style tours that entertain troops stationed abroad.
Sergeant Miles is currently working toward certification as a commercial
pilot.
