Technical Sergeant Heather Kirschner

Technical Sergeant Heather L. Kirschner performs on euphonium and trombone with the Band of the US Air Force Reserve Concert Band, Ceremonial Band, and Brass Quintet.  She also serves as NCOIC of the finance shop for the band.

Originally from Allegany, NY, Sergeant Kirschner attended Baldwin Wallace College where she received a Bachelor of Music degree in Euphonium Performance and Indiana University to receive a Masters of Music degree and Performers Certificate in Euphonium Performance. She has studied both trombone and euphonium with Allen Kofsky and James DeSano of the Cleveland Orchestra, M. Dee Stewart of the Philadelphia Orchestra as well as prominent soloists and recording artists such as Brian Bowman, Daniel Perantoni, and Rex Martin.

During her Air Force career, Sergeant Kirschner has performed with many notable artists such as Sam Pilafian, Conrad Herwig, Dave Steinmeyer, Eddie Daniels and Toni Tennille. In addition, she has performed in South America, Southwest Asia and Southeast Asia in support of the Air Force mission.

As a clinician and teacher, Sergeant Kirschner has conducted clinics at the Texas Bandmasters Association Convention, University of Texas San Antonio and San Angelo State University and served as professor of Low Brass at the University of the Incarnate Word.
